Next winter’s woman according to Kristina Ti: a swan in technicolor. This collection by Cristina Tardito departs from minimalism and looks completely enchanting.

Here femininity is anti-fashionable: introverted, original, provocative and naïf, all at the same time. After all, as she claimed, a swan, the animal that inspired the collection, is a “beautiful, but not necessarily affable and friendly”.

It is exactly this touch of unsettling beauty that makes Kristina Ti’s collection unique, along with the dark and sparkling environment she created (we were in a room with locked windows and walls wholly painted with stars that lighted up whenever a model would walk by).

This fashion designer has always loved flowery-patterns and crepe de chine. On the catwalk there were mainly patterns with flying swans, tiny flowers on devoré velvet, multicolored accessories in amber, oversized shirts on very short skirts or to be worn as dresses.

The collection offers very low cleavages, worn by pale, focused and sensual women, mysterious and melancholic just like swans.  Green and light blue were the top colors.

This collection’s best aspect were precious fabrics: open-work vinyl, heavy wool, jersey, 80’s-inspired glittery and multicolor lurex. Something special:  a pair of sandals with pink fur worn on fishnets with silver gathers. Even dolce vitas and grand dad necks are back. Kristina Ti’s woman, as a matter of fact, is free to decide whether to show off or cover up.
