During the first day of shows the collection by Anna Yang (stage name: Annakiki) was probably my favorite. This was the first fashion show for the Chinese designer, who’s just opened an office in Milan. She was worthy it. Actually, she managed to completely gain our attention, transporting us on the surface of an extrasolar planet. Well, yes: aliens landed in Milan. And they love silver, pink, plastic and sequins.

The collection is based on a blinding and superb aluminum effect. All the models, whose beauty was actually a bit martian, walked the catwalk wearing leather boots, bright-colored skirts, metallic grey leggings and purple fur gloves

A lot of oversized coats, worn both in an usual way or just elegantly placed on the shoulders, according to a trend that we’ve already had the chance to appreciate in New York. The main fabrics are eco-fur and cash-mere; but also soft wool and velvet, in an original opposition with straight and structured jackets.

A great idea was to match overalls and backpacks, which the designer did very frequently. An impressing piece was a beige hooded jacket with a pink fur sleeve paired with a green glove. Moreover a pink plastic raincoat with ruffled borders was paired with a silver space bra with pink fur.

And Baby K! A very friendly and interesting person.

Yang claimed that with this collection she tried to find herself, after a “chaotic and crazy” 2016. According to me she made it. Or at least she managed to grant us a super trendy show and an incredible and surreal collection. And moreover its surreality wasn’t out of the blue, but followed a personal and clear fashion ideal.
